    Default Computer cleaner

Why didn't I know about this? Cleaned everything. 1200 mb worth. I usually do it manually once per week. Great product.

I'm always leery about these kinds of things.. random programs available for download that get into your registry and much about

It seems like it's been going strong for about 10 years, but you may be right. Wouldn't that also apply to spyzappers, anti hacker software and the like?

I saw the log of everything it was going to clean out and there was stuff in there from many years ago. I guess I don't know how to purge all that stuff myself.

You're right, it's been around for a long time. I use it on my pc too. If in doubt, do a google search and check the cnet website for reviews, etc. before you download anything.

    We use CCleaner too.

it's not bad but be VERY CAREFUL with things that mess with the registry. I ONLY use it when problems are so severe that I think I may need to reformat or reinstall anyway.
Don't worry about what other people think. They don't do it very often.
