Google sucks

I want to go to google.com, but it refers me instantly to google.com.au, which is retarded and ugly.
Help!

Oh god that happens to me too!!!! I just tested it. I didn't realize. Is it that much of a problem? My biggest complaint with google is if you type words in it brings up anything with those words in it and I'm of clicking on things that turn out to have nothing to do with what I'm looking for.


I tried 'preferences' and theres no boxes to tick or change anything. Maybe if you're in Australia thats just how it goes! Its still google, and you get the same search results.

When google fails (or refuses to) to find my quarry I use other search engines.

Particularly helpful in places where the internet is filtered/censored. Google and Yahoo both, are guilty of complicity in censorship.

It does suck. Very hard to use in some things. Does it have a link that says something like Google.com in English in the page? I tinkered with it and still didn't find a way to make it not redirect to Google.gr. Not that I have a problem with it but my non Greek colleagues have been climbing the walls here.

Mine comes up google.com/gi - but it does have a link to "go to Google.com" and that does take me to "proper" one.

I'm sure Americans won't have the problem, since it's not google.com.us
