I got a mini DV camera and I connected the DV to the computer IEEE port. It was working fine, but all of a sudden, it's not connecting. No idea why. It's like it's not recognizing it. Any suggestions?

^My cd drive does that sometimes and it always opens up once i
restart the pc...
Try restarting first and then connect it again and see if it works if
not maybe McJag's idea of getting updates for it might be a solution...
I bought a camera that attaches through a USB port or something, and sometimes I have to physically open the software that it came with and turn the camera functionality on through that, by using the toolbar at the top. Otherwise, it won't register that the camera is connected. You might try checking to make sure that it's being allowed and see if that helps.
for the stuck CD drive - just under the tray there is a little hole that a straightened out paper clip will just fit into. If you push the straightened paper clip in gently you will feel resistance and the tray should eject as you push. Don't worry about what other people think. They don't do it very often.
