Talking Mobile phone question! Really confused here!

Okay, something REALLY weird is going on with my phone.

Just before i pick up the phone and the caller is still getting the ringing, a womans voice comes in over the ringing saying

'*in a sexy voice* I'm sorry, he can't come to the phone right now as he's very busy. He's a very busy boy! A very, VERY busy boy *giggles*. He's SUCH a busy boy.'

and this goes on until i pick up the phone.

I really don't know what the hell has happened to my phone!!!!!!!!! I only found out the other day cause my dad rang me up and was confused about it. lol

It's not as if it's my voicemail thing. It's happens while the phone is ringing!

I think it's really hilarious but i'm kinda scared if someone important rings and they get it I think it's even more funny as i'm female.

It's been going on for just over a week now and i dunno how to get it off my phone as i didn't put it on there in the first place!

Any help would be really welcome!

Has this happened to anyone else?

Bwahahahaha . Sorry that's just hilarious. I don't know what to say. Maybe call your cell phone provider...

Does it come in over your ringing or the other persons ringing? Or both?

if you try changing your ringer and that doesnt work, call your cell company, ask if you can delete it, and have them resend it to you. they should do it for free.

It's called a ring back tone. It's a sound or music clip that is played for a caller whenever they call you, rather than them hearing the regular ringing sound. Sprint, Verizon, T-Mobile and others offer this. It's a feature of the cell phone provider's network, not your actual phone. If you didn't set your phone up to do this, then there is a glitch somewhere on your cell phone provider's end - you will need to call them and get it removed. Kind of scary that this could happen randomly to people. I use my phone for business - I would be furious if my business contacts were getting messages like this when they tried to call!

    Good luck!

Edit: I just looked on Verizon's web site - it looks like they charge you $$$ for the service... call ASAP! Ringback Tones - Verizon Wireless

I'm on Orange. I'll mess about with my phone to see if i've done something by accident but i'll be pissed off if they have charged me for something that i didn't even want!

    Thanks for the info Jenni!

and to Micashell- It happens to the caller when they try to ring me. Instead of the usual 'ring ring' it comes up with that until i pick up my phone.

Is it the same caller or does it happen to several people? I've never heard of you being able to affect what others hear when the phone rings

It happens to everyone- mum, dad, sister, friends, everyone!

I'm just really confused on how it got there in the first place.

I wa speaking to my dad about it tonight and he said it's been going on longer than a week. He says he first started hearing it nearly 3 weeks ago. O.o

    (nice avatar btw! lol)

If it is that ringback tone, that happened to me. i thought i loaded something else, and ended up with that program. it was a month free trial, but i didnt know i had it. a friend said 'why do you have that annoying Waylon Jennings music when i call' i didnt even know it. Tmobile got rid of it, and said if i incurred a charge they would take it off.

Yeah, a couple posters are right, it's a "ringback" or "answerback" tone that your callers hear until you pick up. There's about a dollar monthly charge, and it's probably a dollar to buy it. Someone probably just made a mistake and tried to buy it for themselves, and the numbers got screwed up.

My tone that people hear is "What a Wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong.

Call your cell phone company and have it taken off.
