Default My 1 yr old screwed up my email---can anyone help me??

Yes, I know.....what the hell right? My 1 yr old got to my laptop and decided to treat it like a drum---banging on the keyboard. She didn't do a ton of damage since I was close by, HOWEVER---I have noticed that since this, my email is completely fucked up.

My outgoing email is blank. I can type a book and the receipant gets nothing. And in my 'sent box' my email is blank also. I am not computer savy and am frankly embarrased to ask my husband about this.

I've tried shutting down, rebooting, the whole thing. I have tried to alter my settings, but have no idea where to start about 'text' in my emails.

I can receive emails fine..just replying or sending original emails is an issue. They get nothing.

    ANY IDEAS GUYS??? THANKS!!!!!!!!!

What client do you use? I'm not the most savvy person out there but I might be able to help.

What do you mean? I think you have a better chance to solve the problem if you ask him, who is phisically with you, instead of reading random comments on here.

There are SO many variables to take into account that it is basically impossible to give you an aswer based on your summary. I am afraid I can't help you... sorry...

Maybe you can call your internet provider and a tech can tell you?

Not sure when you say that they get nothing - whether you mean they don't receive anything or they receive a blank email. Is it possible that the font colour has been changed? Just a suggestion

^ yeah, maybe it's been changed to white? Seriously tho, I don't even trust my 4 year old cousin around an expensive piece of equipment, let alone a 1 year old.

If it's a blank email try to highlight the area where the text should be. If you can then see the words, it's the font colour. If there's absolutely nothing there, I'm at a bit of a loss, sorry.

haha my son does that! He knows he's not meant to but if I leave it open he runs straight for it. Then when he sees me coming he darts away laughing. Cheeky bugger!

I'd need to know what you use for emails before I can even begin to guess. But really, just ask your husband. You can blame it on the kid, for real

    It's Outlook email.

I did tell husband about it, and he hasn't really looked at it yet, but he knows at least. And the reason I didn't want to tell him was because he hates coming home from work and then trying to fix my messes so to speak.

I will try the font thing--that might be it.

If I REPLY to an email, the receipient gets a BLANK EMAIL. No text. Nothing. Yet, if I start a new email, the text does show up on the email that the receipient gets. Does this make sense??

That's what I'm thinking, too. Kids can get some crazy stuff done in a matter of seconds. When my son was this age he managed to change the background to a coffee cup. I kept it just because and to this day when he sees the screen he's like "coffee, I did the coffee!!!!!"
