Default Downloading Photoshop or similar photo editing programs for free?

Does anyone have free versions of photoshop or any other programs that edit pictures on their computer, that they downloaded free? Where do I go to get free downloads of photoshop?

You can download GIMP for free. It's pretty much PhotoShop. I can do all the same things and it works the same to me.

    Thanks for that!

I used to have Corel photoshop (it was the best!) and then my brother reformatted my computer because it had a bug and i lost it.

I use GIMP for Windows and like it well enough. Free and legal!
Don't worry about what other people think. They don't do it very often.

I downloaded Serif PhotoPlus 6.0. It doesn't have as many features as Photoshop, but you can do quite a lot. Practically the same interface as Photoshop and Paintshop Pro.

Corsair and HWBL, I'm going to try those! Thanks for the tips. I'm wary of torrent sites.

I wonder, and I hope so. I've always wanted to take a full Photoshop class... it's still on my to-do list.

Google has a GREAT one called "Picasa 2."

Just enter it into the google search, download and you have a great place to alter your pics!

You don't have to take photoshop classes, there are plenty of online tutorials you can do in the comfort of your own home. Here are a few websites that i use -

    Photoshop Tutorials / Good-Tutorials

    Adobe Photoshop Tutorials

    Photoshop Tutorials - Home

10,862 Adobe Photoshop Tutorials listed on pslover.com

    Photoshop tutorials

    Photoshop Tutorials -- Absolute Cross

I use the first and second websites the most. I'll try and find some beginner tutorials if these ones are too hard.

Thanks, sharon_b! That wish is from a long time ago, and I didn't realize there are really good tutorials now online. Very good to know. It's not my forte, but I would love to restore some old photos for my parents. My dad gave me a really cool photo from the 40's, he looks like Sid Vicious in it - and that's without enhancement.
