Default Skin Gun (rapidly accelerates 2nd-degree burn recovery)

This Nat Geo video demonstrates the use of an experimental gun used to treat burn victims (2nd degree or less - dermal layers). Basically, they quickly harvest some stem cells from the burn victim for use in the gun, which then sprays a layer of fluid over the burn area. Skin regenerates in days, instead of weeks that grafted skin takes. As a result, it also prevents infections.

WOW! This is amazing - what a breakthrough for people with severe burns. You can't even tell the guy in the video ever was disfigured.

fuck, i need this. that's incredible!
i've currently got a disgusting hole in my arm from where i burnt myself with the stupid heater pipe in my bathroom - the type found in many new york apartments. little did i know that in winter they heat up to ridiculous temperatures. a couple of weeks ago i barely grazed the fucking thing and burnt the side of my forearm. at first it was just a red welt, then it blistered and turned into an oozing mess. today, after freaking myself out worrying the past couple of days that it wasn't healing yet, i went to the doctor's and other than prescribing the prescription strength version of the same type of ointment i was already using, he said there isn't much to be done, the burn is quite deep and will probably take another couple of weeks to heal. and then i'm going to have to start mederma-ing the shit out of it to make the scar less nasty.

That's unreal. I just hope it doesn't take an eternity to be put into widespread use.
