Computer not recognizing Digital Camera

So, for some reason, my computer won't recognize my digital camera! It connects with a USB cord and it's not showing up in My Computer. My computer makes the little dinging sound it does when something connects, but neither My Computer nor the "Safely Remove Hardware" show anything connected! And I'm sure it's not my USB port because I just plugged in my webcam earlier and it worked just fine!

Any suggestions? It's a Kodak EasyShare C360 and my computer is an IBM Thinkpad T42 running on Windows XP Pro.

Did you install the software before you plugged in the camera? If you have followed the instructions exactly and you are still having difficulty, go Kodak support and update your software.

I reinstalled the driver and it works now, yay thanks! I don't know why I didn't think to do that in the first place. My mind is fried. Word from the wise: Don't work full-time and go to school simultaneously. It's not fun.
