We use Windows xp and it came with a popup blocker...(but I'm not a techie person so I'm not too sure and I don't know if my advice is any good).
I think firewalls and things usually come with a feature to block popups? Check your MS anti-spyware for extra features or additional things you can dl and install.

Thanks chatter. I'm very anxious about it. I usually only start packing the last minute and I have so many things I want to get done b4 leaving but I'm too lazy. And I don't want to forget to do something or forget to pack something important. I should write everything down and make a to-do list!

I downloaded the google toolbar, which comes with a pop-up blocker and have never had one since. Says it's stopped 151 now. All you have to do is do a search for Google Toolbar and it downloads in seconds.
So sick to death of pop up ads!!!!
