HELP! Anyone Use Fireworks CS3? I Am Not Getting It. :(

Ugh, I got this firworks cs3 program to edit and mess around with images, and I must be too dumb to figure it out.

Can anyone suggest a simple photoshopping tool, like just to add layers or make those funny Keanu like pictures, easy to use?

I dont expect anyone to tutor me on the fireworks program, but if you use it maybe you cpould share a small tip or a website or something. I googled and found very little to help, so maybe a new program suggestion could help?

Also can you do this in paint or word?
