I had to completely re-boot my laptop, and lost all of my music. I've heard that idump can take the files on my ipod and put them in my now empty itunes library. Does it work? Is it safe?

I just tried copypod.. boo had to pay for it, otherwise it would only copy the first 100 tracks
Still, seems incredibly easy. 20 bucks and 1 button. Blip. Done.

I used idump and it actually worked! Try it, if a lot of your music is lost anyway, it can do no harm.
The good think is that it also copoied the library files from my ipod. Such a playlists, covers, ratings, etc.
Good luck, I feel your pain!
