itouch question
I have an itouch phone without a manual. I'd like to be able to transfer music files (from my music folder) and podcasts (from itunes) onto the itouch, but don't know how to do that. Does anybody know how to do this?

As far as I know, there is no such thing as an itouch phone. Can you be more specific?

Import your music & podcast files into iTunes, connect up the iPhone/iPod touch to your computer & press "sync".
Or alternatively go to the apple website to find out how to do it... Apple I think...

I am almost positive that the iTouch has a user manual installed on it .... maybe under settings? I don't have mine right here or I'd look.

Thanks for all of the advice. I'm well on my way!!
Edit: I have now downloaded thousands of my songs onto the itouch. I'm going to start next on photos. It's going everywhere with me from now on!!

^^^^Thanks Novice. I've done that and it all worked well, but for some reason, whenever I add new photos to my itouch, the previous photos get deleted. Do you know how to save them as you go??

Ohh that's interesting, do you mean as you save them or when you sync it with your computer.
If it's the latter uncheck the "delete photos after transfer" box.
As for the other I dunno, never cone across that before. I'll have a look in a while I need to go out now.

Both. I add the photos, they seem fine there, but have obviously not been saved, because when I try to add new photos, the previous lot get deleted. (I know I'm doing something wrong during sync as well).
I'll give your suggestion a try. Thanks.

Ok, so I'm using a mac to iPod so it might be slightly different, I szved some photos that I wanted on my iPod in my "itouch photos" file on the pictures folder (not quite the same as my iphoto folder, you will note) anything in there goes onto my iPod fairly permenently... Try putting them inthete & see how it goes?
Otherwise i guess that you need to check in your settings? Maybe hit restore factory setting if you can find it (I know that you can do this while synching to iTunes) - I'd look in there.
Has it got upto date software? There might be something in there tgat is causing this otherwise?
