Leave them in there. They aren't harming anything.
I run AVG on my computer and well as SpyBot and AdAware. I'm very happy with them and have quite a few items in my AVG virus vault. My question is this: Do I empty the virus vault? Is the vault used to fix/heal items? Should I leave items in the vault indefinitely?
Leave them in there. They aren't harming anything.
Will the vault just keep getting bigger? Are the limits to these vaults?
i'm pretty sure you are fine. the vault probably goes by memory space in your computer. you're good to go.
You're doing fine with Spybot and Ad-aware, but I'd ditch AVG. I had it for years (like 9 of them) and got talked into trying avast!. Avast! caught things that AVG never even noticed...old stuff too. My computer ran like a top after getting that crap off of there.
I also highly, HIGHLY recommend malwarebytes. It, too, seems to catch stuff that your other two spybot catchers don't.
Links if you're interested:
Malwarebytes.org (get the free version, of course. It's awesome)
avast! - Download antivirus software for spyware and virus protection (again--the free version is just as great as the pay version)
Edited to add: Yeah, you can leave that stuff in the vault but I usually delete them after a while. It bothers me, for some reason, to leave them for any length of time! lol
