Is a 'ribbon lift' behind It's (madonna) slightly youthful look?
Quote:
While this year's big winners were all revealed at the Academy Awards last week, one question from the night still remains.
Just what is Madonna's secret?
The 50-year-old had onlookers mesmerised by her incredibly youthful appearance as she arrived at the Oscars ceremony, her super smooth complexion practically glowing under the spotlight.
Now there is speculation her wrinkle-free skin is the result of an new procedure called the 'ribbon lift'.

Rolling back the years: Madonna's incredibly youthful appearance at the Academy Awards last week still has everybody talking
Madonna
Telltale sign? Plastic surgeon Alex Karidis said Madonna, pictured here days before the Oscars, appeared to have a 'ribbon' running down her neck
The 30-minute treatment, which is available at Beverly Hills clinics for around $6,000 (£4,300), uses a dissolvable ribbon implant to lift neck tissues through a short incision around the earlobe.
It takes around two months for the ribbon to be absorbed and the results last around three years.
In an interview in the latest issue of Grazia magazine, plastic surgeon Alex Karidis claims Madonna was showing telltale signs of the procedure in a photograph taken days prior to the star-studded ceremony.
Mr Karidis explained: '[A tube-like device] is tunnelled under the skin and has lots of tiny hooks that attach to the muscle and tissue. We then pull it upwards to lift the whole area.'
'It doesn't appear as if the ribbon has dissolved properly. However, she looks to have cleverly covered it with a loose hairstyle at the Oscars party.'
He also suggests Madonna, who is linked to 22-year-old model Jesus Luz, may have had a separate skin resurfacing treatment.
Madonna has remained enigmatic on the subject of surgery, saying previously: 'I am certainly not against plastic surgery; however, I am absolutely against having to discuss it.'http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-1158891/Is-ribbon-lift-secret-Madonnas-youthful-new-look.html

The whole idea od inserting something alien into my body in the vain hope of retaining my youth is just bizarre. And I will have to laugh if it really did go wrong and she ends up with some huge growth out the side of her neck.

That just looks like a bad angle to me. I think she just worked out so much it pulled all the skin tight.

Yuck, I've heard of this, it's also called a featherlift. Not many Plastic Surgeons perform it in Canada anymore because there have been hellacious results, and of course many lawsuits.

I agree. It's just because she's turning her head.

She's definitely had something injected looking at the second pic. But that "ribbon" is simply a tendon, I believe. Her face looks like shiny molded rubber.

re
Yeah, the redness of her skin in those shots looks like she had some type of laser or chemical peel done. A few days later, when she had her pix taken at Oscar parties, her skin texture looked really nice. It was the texture, not the tautness, which again makes me think it was a superficial procedure.
Hey, Madonna, you're still old! (So am I, though.)

When will she realize it's time to throw the towel in?
I have so much more respect for women who choose to age naturally...no matter if it ends up going good or bad.
