Default Amanda Holden: 'I'm so over Botox... it's grotesque and makes everyone look the same'

She once declared that having Botox injections was as normal as 'cleaning your teeth'.
Now Amanda Holden has changed her mind.
She has apparently been put off further injections after noticing that so many Botox devotees look the same.

Today Amanda Holden has been crowing about her crow's feet and, on the right, in 2007 she sports the line-free look in her Botox days

The 38-year-old actress claims to have been letting nature takes it course for almost a year.
'I haven't had Botox for eight or nine months and when I'm out in LA, I think about it even less,' she said.
'It puts me off when I see people out there. Everyone looks the same and it's quite grotesque.
'It was something I used when I was in sunnier climates in South Africa.'

Amanda says she has now grown to appreciate the more natural look

Botox, a nerve poison, works by temporarily paralysing the facial muscles, which smooths the complexion.
Miss Holden first had the injections in 2007 while filming ITV drama Wild At Heart in Africa.
'I was constantly frowning in the sun,' she said.
'I noticed crow's feet coming and that's when I had it.' At the time, she added: 'I don't know a single person who has not had something done.'
Asked if she was nervous about having the injections she said: 'Oh no, I agree with Simon Cowell. It's like cleaning your teeth - maintenance.'
However, Miss Holden, a judge on ITV show Britain's Got Talent, has since admitted that for an actress it was 'a bit of a stupid thing to do' because it restricts the expressiveness of a person's face.
The woman who once also declared herself 'all for' plastic surgery has also had a rethink on that front.
'I have a skin condition which means I scar easily,' she told Star magazine. 'So unless it was really, really necessary, it's not something I'd opt for.'
What about lip plumping treatments, then?
In April last year she appeared to have alarmingly swollen lips on Britain's Got Talent.

'No, I've honestly never, ever had anything done to my lips,' she insisted. 'They are thinner than they were ten years ago!
'I think there was a picture of me once from Britain's Got Talent which made them look odd, but I was in the middle of speaking. I've never had anything done to my lips, ever!
'If you look at my lips when I was married to Les Dennis, they were huge, but age has made them thinner.'
Asked how she would rate her looks, Miss Holden, who has a three-year-old daughter Lexi with her second husband Chris Hughes, replied: 'When I've had full makeup and hair I would say ten out of ten but most average days when I'm just dropping Lexi off to nursery then probably a six because I am a scuzzbag.'
