Kingdom Coming: The Rise of Christian Nationalism. Got it in 2006. Still relevant considering where all the birthers 'n such are coming from.

I love his character Alex Cross. Very cool.

Reading his books in the large-print editions is hilarious. Because the chapters are only about 2.5 pages long. And you feel like your eyeballs are going to come out of your head because of it. Good times.
C, I just finished reading The Quickie. All I have to say is 'wow.' Great book, full of plot twists and turns.

I just finished "Snow Flower and the Secret Fan". It is about life for women in China in 19th century China. The parts about feet binding were appalling. I Googled an image, uh, so awful. The book was very good though. Very well written.

I'm now reading "The Other Queen" about Mary Queen of Scots. Also a good read.

Breath- Tim Winton. It's a novel about surfing, but it's deeper than that. Sort of a rite of passage story.

I read that book and thought it was pretty good, although the stuff with the wife was a bit odd and the wrap up a bit pat. Loved the surfing bits, though.

I just finished "Here on Earth" by Alice Hoffman. I really like her writing style but I found the subject material and characters to be ridiculous.

OK, I had/have lots of things on my mind, so I haven't read as much as I wanted to. Just finished Pride and Prejudice and finishing Vendredi ou la vie sauvage, a reworking of Robinson Crusoe. The book itself is the author's new version of his previous book, Vendredi ou les limbes du Pacifique. This new version is kinda pointless, if you ask me. The next two books on my plate are Le Fanu's Carmilla and Gary's La Vie devant soi.

I've been meaning to read Carmilla for awhile. I wish my library had a copy of it...

A Case of Exploding Mangos-Mohammed Hanif.

It's novel about the assasination of Zia of Pakistan. It's good so far, but I'm only about 1/4 of the way in.
