Finished Jen Lancaster's Bright Lights, Big Ass.

Fortunately I wanted something utterly brainless like chewing gum. Got it.

Currently re-reading Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer just for something light and fluffy, and I'm about half way through The Path of Daggers by Robert Jordan, which is quite wordy and confusing, so I switch between to make the spangly vampires take my mind off of the 3 million characters who all want their say in one paperback novel. Yeesh!

I'm reading that now. I'm a little less than 200 pages in and still not 1/4 of the way through it! I wasn't sure if a book set in the middle ages about building cathedrals would get me, but I'm into it so far.

Trading Up by Candace Bushnell. I'm actually impressed. I expected to hate it. I don't. Good eye for character flaws and social exchanges.

    Tess of the D'Urbervilles

Great book! I'm reading Richistan, about the rise of the new and overwhelming wealth in America and how it's changing things. Obviously written prior to the current crisis.

Just started rereading a Richard Starkey book on the English Monarchy. Very good the second time around. But have been given a book to read by a woman I met awhile back who just dropped it off, along with her number and an invite to get together. Hurrah!! Books can bring people together!
