It's about the Fundamentalist Church of Latter Day Saints. It is fascinating.

    Summary from Amazon:

I read that, and really liked it. I passed it to my mom and she liked it as well.

I grew up in the east, and never knew any Mormons personally. That book touched off a whole Mormon reading phase for me. I read "No Man Knows My History" by Fawn Brodie and "Mountain Meadows Massacre" by Juanita Brooks afterward. Both were also excellent.

^I did the audio book on that about 4 years ago. Great listen. After growing up in Utah (Mormon Shangri-la), I have to say that I wasn't entirely shocked by everything written in the book. Just more of the same ol', same old.

I picked up Jane Porter's novel 'Flirting With Forty' because I can't wait to see the Lifetime film, currently filming in Oahu.

The Six Wives of Henry VIII by Alison Weir. Watching The Tudors made me want to reread this and remind myself of the accurate history.

^^^I have no idea how many times i took that book out of my bn.com cart. I should soooo get it...finally!!

I recently got into Ted Dekker...he writes all those books with the one named theme....such as RED, BLACK, SKIN ect.....I really like his writing. Quite the entertaing read.

    But more importanly..........

I began watching that show Dexter on Showtime, and had no idea that it stemmed from books....anyhoo....

I'm so addicted to this loveable monster. Jeff Lindsay is AMAZING, and make me feel like i live in Miami, and am simultaneouly frightened because of the same fact.

To all the poster's who are fans of the show Dexter , you've soooooooooooooo got to read the books.

Just finished He's Just Not Up for It Anymore: Why Men Stop Having Sex, and What You Can Do About It by Bob Berkowitz & Susan Yager-Berkowitz.

Picked it up at the library. It was in the new non-fiction section. Quick, easy interesting read.

The book is great. Over at Amazon I got it, with the Children of King Henry VIII, for a good price- $23.00. Or you can just get it for around $10.00:

Amazon.com: The Six Wives of Henry VIII: Alison Weir: Books

I will probably read The Princes in the Tower next. I see myself working my way through all of her books this summer. She writes an excellent history book. I started out with her book on Elizabeth I. It is quite dry but good.

Thanks-----I'm on the second of the three dexter installments-once i finish the third book im gonna begin on this new release CHILD 44 by Tom Rob Smith.

It was recommended by B&N.....I really hope it's good because the last book i read that they recommended-The Reluctant Fundementalist-was such a waste of time, energy and money.

I dont even know why i stopped posting here....i love this forum.
