Re: What Are You Currently Reading??
^^ My best friend just had to read that for her Lit course, and hated it! Lol. I've heard reviews from both ends of the spectrum, so I don't know whether I hope I have it when I take that class next semester or not!

Also throw in that your tastes in literature can change too. I remember reading "On The Road" by Keorac and thinking it was brilliant. Recently I reread it and couldn't figure out why I'd adored it in the first place.

Re: What Are You Currently Reading??
When I first read Godot, I'd only seen one professionally
performed play in my life, and wasn't used to the rhythms
of theatrical dialogue. If she can see it first, that might
help with the experience.
It also helps to know what conventional cliches Beckett
was thwarting in his plays -- the absence of a villain,
the refusal to rise to a climax, etc.

I checked it out from the library. I liked it, it kind of explained why she is the way she is.

Just started "Under The Banner of Heaven" about polygamist Mormons, cultism, murder and other inanities of their lifestyle. Just finishing up " Dreams and Healing" about dream imagery and inner healing.

Ugh, I remember the days of trying to cram intentional torts, negligence, etc into my brain. You have my sympathies.
I'm reading Capote's "In Cold Blood" right now.

Anyway, I just finished reading 'The Accidental Tourist'...it was fantastic. I've never seen the movie so am wondering if it was any good (bear in mind that I hate William Hurt, Heart, Hert, whatever his name is).

Love the book, loathe the movie. The movie truly sucks.

Re: What Are You Currently Reading??
Got Ann Rule's new book " Worth More Dead" for Xmas. Damn, I love true crime books. Family all left today (we hosted Xmas)...got the book beside me. After I catch up on the gossip and my bf turns on the hockey game (World Juniors), it's just me and my book!
