A friend of mine turned me on to the Daily Free Kindle Reads e-mail, and have found some gems, as I like to read just about anything. Just finished "The Binding" and "The Drifting," (that wasn't a free read, but I snagged it after "The Binding") a fun YA...think...series, of which there will be a third.

Not really a book, but a friend reccomended the comics book series Preacher by Garth Ennis, and I'm really enjoying it so far. I'm more into superhero comics in general, but I'm enjoying how thouroughly fucked-up, bleak and darkly funny this is.

Red Army Faction Blues- Ada Wilson

Baader Meinhof, a German secret service agent, and the great blues guitarist Peter Green of Fleetwood Mac. It's really good.

I enjoyed it right until the end. Rather anticlimactic if you ask me. Please post again when you finish it. I want to hear what you think.

The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks about the Baltimore woman whose cancer cells were illegally harvested by researchers and have been used since her death because by some genetic quirk, her cells won't die. It's really fascinating.

Live From New York: An uncensored History of Saturdat Night Live, As Told By Its Stars, Writers and Guests.

pretty much as close as you'll get to an inside look at SNL. I wish more time was spent on the first five years but other than that I liked it.

I'm just about halfway through this one. I thought it was going to be all the same shit we've read about him over the years, but he really puts his business out in the street. So far a really good read. He's pretty funny.

    HHhH-Laurent Binet

It's pretty gripping. A novel about a novelist writing a book on the assassination of Reinhard Heydrich.
