I hear the series is getting progressively worse, this being the worst yet. I dont know. I have yet to get past the second book.

the last 3 have been really weak - the fourth book Dead to the World is really good .It's the one where Eric loses his memory .

The end was OK, but kind of a let down. Sookie does stupid things. Wonder what Eric is going to do? Sometimes I get really bored when it's all about the fae.

How about you? What did you think.

Currently reading The Marriage Plot by Eugenides. I haven't gotten far--it's been enjoyable, but I'm not sure how I'd feel if my background wasn't similar to those in the novel.

OMG just finished Mockingjay (third book in the Hunger Games). How fucking depressing. You know it's bad when you hope the heroine puts a bullet through her own head just to end the suffering.

The end annoyed , it seems as if the author wants Sookie and Sam to end up together and that is just really boring . The whole main plot on this one was week and the fairy involvement just lacked excitement that the others books had - I do think the last 3 where the worst in the series

It was annoying. Especially her "choosing" Sam over Eric...basically. Yeah, Sookie is gonna marry Sam and have shifter/fairy babies.

If she's not going to be with Eric, I would have her with Alcide.

You read the third book without reading the first one?

Correction. I meant to say Ive read what the poster had said in reviews online. Many times before I check out a book or series I like to read reviews of them just to get an idea of what Im going into.

The Real Girl Next Door by Denise Richards.

Its about as real as faux cream & appears to have been heavily vetted by her PR. I'd be really f*cked off if I've paid for it.

Just started The Cabin in the Woods. Joss Whedon co-wrote it. The writing (so far) is awful but if you imagine it as a screenplay it's better. I'm only a few chapters in. Can't quite figure it all out yet.

Finished Drift by Rachel Maddow. Very quick read for political/military history and theory. She's very smart and writes like she talks.

I just finished On The Island by Tracey Garvis Graves. It's about a young teacher who accepts a tutoring assignment over the summer in the Maldives. Her student is a 16 year old who is recovering from Hodgkins lymphoma. Their small plane crashes and they are stranded on a desert island. Sounds kinda hokey, but it's good. I'm not a fan of romance novels, but this isn't truly a romance novel. They have to learn to survive with the uncertainty of ever being rescued or his cancer returning.

I liked it a lot. It was recommended to me on Amazon because I fell for the hype and bought 50 Shades of Grey (which I hate and can't even finish).
