An Arsonist's Guide To Writers Homes In New England- Brock Clarke.

I've just started it, only about 3 chapters in. It seems like it may be pretty funny.

I finally read the Girl With The Dragon Tattoo series, which I had been avoiding because I find that super hyped books frequently disappoint me.

They were meh. Just a average crime series. I can't believe that they've inspired films in two languages. By the third book my eyes were sort of glazing over.

I just started Pineapple Grenade by Tim Dorsey. This guy is the best! He really illustrates just how crazy and insane the state of Florida is. He's a very funny writer but with the most unique ways of killing the bad guys.

I really liked his biography of Marilyn Monroe. Please let me know what you think of Olivier's when you finish - I might pick it up.

Open City- Teju Cole. A Nigerian-German psychiatrist in residency in NY and his thoughts and conversations. So far it's excellent.

I'm reading something completely mindless. Fifty Shades of Grey, book 1. Just as bad as Twilight, but with penetration.

    i loved that one too.
have you read any of his other stuff? i definitely recommend 'the art of political murder: who killed the bishop?'
totally different. definitely more the journalist goldman than the novelist, but absolutely fantastic nonetheless.

Yes, I've read the Bishop and The Ordinary Seamen. I really like him. Say Her Name just killed me.

yeah he's great. and yeah, 'say her name' is one of those books that stays with you long after you're done reading it.

    Don't forget those twitchy palms

But these books are freaking everywhere - you know its actually based on Twilight fanfic. For anyone wanting pay for this - better google Master of the Universe and read it for free - she hardly made any changes to the repackaged book although both her pub/agent and herself are denying that it is Twilight badly done BDSM. EL James is an opportunistic hack who used fandom to cash in.

I've read both and the books have a cheesey crackish element but if you hated the hype surrounding Twilight - this is just as worse especially now the books have been sold for a movie! Will laugh if they get Robert Patterson and Kristen Stewart LOL

Just finished the Hunger Games trilogy which I loved, and I'm on to my re-read of A Feast for Crows by George R R Martin. Picking up huge amounts of information that I missed during my first - rushed - read.
I smile because I have no idea what's going on
