I would be reading the first Sookie Stackhouse book, if I could find where I put it...

I got a couple of really bad thrillers for Christmas from mr. butt's aunt. I may dip into them this week, if only to see how bad they are.

    I, Alex Cross

I read the first book (and maybe the second) in that murder club series and really enjoyed it. I think they even made a show about it, King. He writes really well.

I just finished 7th Heaven. Great book. The thing I love about Patterson's writing is that his books move along at a solid clip with no slow or dull spots. The only thing is, I get pissed when I'm finished with his books, because I'm so involved in the story that I want it to continue. The best writers always leave you hungry for more.

That's funny Yeah there are some books I read and re-read all the time cause they're written so well. It's like candy, you know? My fave of his books is Kiss the Girls. I seriously could not read that book in a room by myself or in the dark. I was scaaaared!

I can't remember if Kiss the Girls or Along Came a Spider was the first Patterson book I read. And I've re-read a few of his books, too. Like candy is the perfect description. But I think my all-time favorite Patterson book is 'Jack & Jill.' I've re-read that book a few times. One of the best political thrillers I've ever read and the best Alex Cross book I've read so far.

This is one of my favorite books this year. Also the Guernsey sweet potato ...... whatever, weird title great book. I just started Stephen King's new book, "Under the dome". Light reading but always fun.

"Ordinary Thunderstorms" by William Boyd. A thriller and I can't put it down.

Im struggling through trying to finish this. I dont like it, not at all. Im all for female heroines and vampire tales, Anita Blake before all the sex comes to mind, but this... this... I dont know. Maybe I just dont like Sookie. Dont like Bill much either. Matter of fact, I think that could be the problem. I dont really like anyone in this tale. And Im about tired of reading sex scenes between her and Bill.

I kinda had the same problem with the first Dexter book, except I finished that. I loved it all the way to the end but the ending, Im skeptical about picking up another Dexter book.

Currently Im reading 'Hefnerland' by Jill Ann Spaulding. Seemed like an interesting enough book when I first picked it up.
    Hefnerland
Heres the blog where its all online, or you can just Google search and download it. Its apparently an EBook that later became an actual book titled 'Upstairs', IIRC. Whats even more interesting is...

Is it as good as I've heard? Everyone raved about it when it came out.

I'm re-reading some old favorites as my head just can't seem to get around anything new. I got some crappy thrillers from an Aunt-in-law that I just can't face. Anyone have some good suggestions?

We had to read 'Tuesdays With Morrie' in my right to life class.. I guess because of the situation Morrie is in (dont want to spoil it).. it's an OK book, nothing mindblowing. I didn't like 'The 5 People You Meet In Heaven' much, either.. Mitch Albom comes across as too cheesy/inspirational to me.
