Re: VC Andrews
So are ALL the books tied together in some way? I mean like in the first with Cathy and Christpher did they somehow know or met any of the characters from like Heaven or All That Glitters?
Yeah I was surprised that this "ghostwriter" has been able to continue writing since her death in 1986. That has been 20 yrs now.

You know I love George. I give you permission to confiscate my credit cards if I order one of those cute Curious George cashmere sweaters from Kitson...I want a hoodie!

Re: VC Andrews
I read them too. They weren't as good with the ghost writer.

That's just sad.
Anyway, I don't think the characters from each mini-series ever "crossed paths" in any of the storylines. There was a lot of looping in each set between all the characters, one would fall in love and be at the mercy of some step relative and couldn't be with her true love who in the end turned out to be her brother and usually turned out to be the son of the step relative.
Does anyone else remember which book had the part with the class pet? I'm thinking it was Heaven but I'm not about to go digging them out to find out for sure. That was bothering me last night.

I think that was the Dawn series, the one that was the piano player.

Re: VC Andrews
I remember reading some of her books, but can't really remember the plots and storylines....maybe this will be a good time to read them again. I can knock a book like this out in two good nights!

Re: VC Andrews
I'll admit to liking the Flowers in the Attic series and Heaven series quite a bit. But after I got through those two, everything else seemed to be the same old crap with new characters.

Re: VC Andrews
I read all of the Flower's in the Attic Series and a few more,
I really liked her books when she was alive.
However,
I may go and check some out of the local library to read...

Her books were always so cheezy and trashy, chewing gum for the brain...

Re: VC Andrews
So are Dan Brown's books but those are best sellers now.
Bah I'm so sick of people reading the Da Vinci code and thinking they've realized something profound it's a hoax!

Oh I agree and not only that but so many people are rushing to buy whatever Oprah rubberstamps as 'brilliant' when so much of it is mediocre at best. Whatever happened to the ability to know what is good and what is so-so in this world. Down with faux intellectualism!
