Is the Witches trilogy about actual witches and not continuing on with her Vampire stuff? If so, woo hoo ! I love witch stuff.

^^ Yep all about witches. There's no vampire stuff in it at all. It's a great series.

The witch's series kind of intermingles with the vamp series. But what Aella says Anne is bat shit crazy. Oh, and she doesn't like editors because her written word is perfect ...Kind of like the hack Laurell K. Hamilton.

Didn't she also write some pretty forgettable erotica? I think she did an erotic version of the Sleeping Beauty that starts where the fairy tale leaves off - except it isn't actually a kiss that wakes her. Ahem. Anyway, I agree with you lot - her first vampire books were great, but the excitement wanes after that. Oh, and re the movie, didn't she also take out a fullpage ad in Variety because she so disagreed with the casting of Tom Cruise as Lestat, then take out a second page after she saw it because she decided she was wrong. Batshit crazy is right.

never got into Anne Rice although hubby has. When it comes to vampire stories I love J.R.Ward and the Black Dagger Brotherhood series. I am re-reading the series now in preparation for her new book coming out in June. Nothing like a hot, alpha vampire to curl your toes. LOL

I have the Sleeping Beauty series. I have a soft spot for trashy books, so I loved the series. I haven't read it in awhile, but there seemed to be alot of S&M in it.

I read the first book of the Sleeping Beauty series and it was just way to weird for me. I remember that in the book they would tie up people and put honey on their crotches to attract flies as punishment. I didn't want to read it anymore.

Sorry, couldn't resist!

I read these when I was about 17 and loved them, I think though I grew out of them. They are quite teenage angsty!
