I wouldn't mind offing Hagrid, but RON????
You guys are heartless.
Him and Hermione have been trying to get together for a while now, so it would be terribly cruel to kill of one of em in the last book. Plus I'm just not feeling it at all. I don't think it'll happen.

It could end up being a horror movie style cliche, they get busy and then one dies

Well, yeah!
I hate Ron with Hermione. I think it brings out the worst in both of them-I'd actually be thrilled if all the kids were single at the end of the books. And it's not that I hate Ron like I do other characters, he just annoys and bores me, and I wouldn't shed any tears if he kicked it.

True. We wouldn't last five minutes in a horror film.

They're only teenagers, I think all people are annoying as teenagers. The characters are built in a specific way to make several points. I think they're very cute together Or they will be soon.

soth, for some reason, your comment made me think of some silly martial arts movie where the dude's showing off his moves and kicking the air really quickly and some guy just takes out his gun and shoots him.
that would be fun if, 7 books later, he just whipped out a gun and shot him in the head.

Wasnt that Indiana Jones.....apparently Harrison Ford was sick as a dog when they did that scene and there was a huge choregraphed fight scene, but he couldnt go on, suggested that he shoot the guy to Spielburg and that was that

OK, you're really making me wanna go home and grab my copies of books 1-6 and reread them before 7 comes out. I've never done that before, and I was picking on a friend for doing that just last week....

What about the twins? Perhaps they'll come back in a big way? I love their anarchy and would love to see some sweet they invented becoming the potion that brings back Dumbledore or kills Voldemort or something along those lines. As far as Ron kicking it, I kind of like him. I hope he and Hermione shag each other senseless before the series is done.

Hmmm...
I don't know if Harry will die or not, but does it matter? he knows how to make horcruxes and it's a book- he can always come back.
I think Harry's scar is a horcrux, but I don't understand why voldermort keeps trying to kill him. Wouldn't he be killing part of himself? So I think there may be more to the scar than we know.
Ginny and Hermoine are suppose to be powerful yet we have never seen them in full force. Same with the Weasley Twins. I think Ron's death would unite the group against Voldermort. Maybe his estranged brother will return to his family too.
I think Dumbledore is gone for good and he made Snape kill him. Just like he forced Harry to give him that water in the cave. Snape will be a hero somehow and Malfoy may end up on the right side too.
Petunia might have powers, but wouldn't it be interesting if Dudley had some too? dumbledore said she failed with him or something to that effect. I have no idea who RAB is. Sirius's brother is the best guess but Rowling is always throwing curveballs. Could be Dumbledore's brother too, we don't know anything about him.
