I saw the movie. Is the book better than the movie?

Actually, for the most part the movie did the book justice, which is unusual. Most times I love the book much better.

But I did like the ending of the book much better, if I'm remembering correctly. I won't include any spoilers here though!

I bought it prior to a 14 hours flight with a 3 hours check in.... I was told prior to reading it that Anne Hathaway made the characture (i.e. the one int he book didn't have one).
I finished reading the book before landing & gifted it to the air crew who'd asked if it was any good....

For all the hype this book was crap. Most of this new chick lit is. You just can't top Bridget Jones, kay?

It was quick and fun read... nothing special

I think the movie is slightly better that the book. Watching people running around and looking at real Chanel outfits is better that just imagine them through the book. But this is just the BIG difference. I can tell you there's no deeper meaning or more fun in the movie that in the book.

i just finished reading this book like two weeks ago...i saw the movie b4 i read it, and although they changed alot in the film...it was pretty much the same idea. I thought the book was really amusing more than anything...i didnt read this book to be thought provoked, just because it was an it book with an it movie along with it....if i want or you all want a book to be thought provoked by, then read a Phillip Roth novel, or Toni Morrison.

One of the 1st scenes of the movie... where "the Devil" walks in 4 the very 1st time and all the stuaff in a hurry... that's was so poor to me. It looked so fake and I just thought that they were a team of loosers. I mean, how can you be so terrrified? Change your job, then!!

You see, I never saw the hype for the book, saw all the hype for the film & saw the film..... and enjoyed the film, and enjoyed the book too, but in a different way.

But no, something would have to be very good to beat Bridget Jones (the books) (but I AM biased!).

I think the book is ok, it's easy to read. But Jesus Andy is getting on my nerves.

Besides that Sex and the City book that was probably the only chick-literature book I read. It was an easy and quick read, good if you don't want to make and effort to use your brain, but in all honesty it was pretty stupid and not even that funny.

    Agreed. And the movie sucked.
