Default Re-reading 'Pompeii'

I just wanted to say...if anyone hasn't read this book, read it. It kicks ass. Fatherland (by the same author, Robert Harris) is also extremely good.

I went to HS with Robert Harris's wife Gillian Hornby, sister of the more famous Nick Hornby. She was very bright and almost completely mad.

It's about a Roman engineer trying to fix an aquaduct whose flow has been interrupted by the pending eruption of Vesuvius. It's VERY cool. It includes the eruption.
