Default JK Rowling to wrap up Harry Potter in 2007

ROWLING TO WRAP UP POTTER IN 2007

JK ROWLING will draw her multi-million-selling series of HARRY POTTER books to a close next year (06) when she completes the seventh installment.

The British author, who has hinted the new book will be called HARRY POTTER AND THE PYRAMIDS OF FURMAT, is both excited and saddened by the prospect of laying her boy wizard to rest.

She writes on her website, "2006 will be the year when I write the final book in the Harry Potter series.

"I contemplate the task with mingled feelings of excitement and dread because I can't wait to get started, to tell the final part of the story and, at last, to answer all the questions..."

I've got to be fairly skeptical of anything that isn't found on her website directly. She hasn't mentioned a title, and has debunked most suggestions like that...

I know you either love them or hate them, but I absolutely love the HP books. I will be sad when the last one comes out because then I won't have another one to look forward to.

I don't believe at all that she has hinted at the title of the last book. She's very tight-lipped about her books, only giving the barest of hints close to the actual release dates.

That title is absolutely and obviously rubbish, it says so on her website. However, that it will be finished in 2007 I don't doubt, as she is writing it this year. Waaaaaa! What will I do until then? And after then?

She toldly revitalized children's literature. So many grown ups read her books too. (At least I do!)

I doubt that's the title. Remember the rumors that the sixth book was titled Harry Potter And The Pillar of Storge or something stupid like that? I don't want Harry Potter to end; I'm going to cry when I finish reading the last book. I'll just have to read it reeeaaaaly slowly. Pffft, like that's going to happen.

My sister and I always read the book straight and time ourselves. I think book six took me about twelve hours or so. I had to take a break and rest my eyes for a hot second. Book five took about fourteen because I fell asleep in the book. We went the bookstore at midnight for the fifth book, but we didn't feel like trying to catch a cab at 1.30am this last time around, so we just went as soon as the store opened the next morning. You'd think that catching a cab at 1.30am wouldn't be so hard in the middle of the city...

Speaking of crying over Harry Potter, you would've thought a family member had died after I got to the end of book six. I was flat-out bawling for about half an hour straight. I had some idea of who would die, but I had convinced myself that it would be, like, Ron or something.
