^^ My first love's name was Edward in real life & his eyes were green/amberish like in the book so that didn't help

^^
Oh that's adorable!! What are the odds?
Speaking of odds, pandemonium broke out in our lounge roughly 20 minutes ago. I invited myself over to my mum's in the country coz I've got the day off work and I didn't realise she was having friends over. Anyway I was just sitting in the lounge with the friend's two teenage kids (very shy, sort of annoying) and I just happened to be watching The View. Anyway, Haley Joel Osment's sister was on, talking about Hannah Montana which she's apparently on, and then at the end of the interview they asked her what books she liked, and she said: "Oh well there's this great book I'm reading at the moment..."
And I suddenly thought Twilight.
Then she went on and said: "It's a series actually, it's three books..."
Twilight.
"And it's by Stephenie Meyer, and it's called Twilight."
And I was like .
And then she went on and said: "There are three books in the series, Twilight, New Moon and Eclipse."
And I said out loud: "That is unbelievable, I'm reading New Moon right now!"
And the two kids next to me suddenly went: "Oh my god I'm on Twilight/Eclipse!"
And I was like "You're joking!"
And then Whoopi Goldberg on TV interrupted Osment and said: "You're reading number one? Get out of here! I'm reading it too! I'm up to New Moon!"
And Osment's like: "That's amazing! I am in LOVE with it!"
And then my mum and her friend came into the room because they noticed that everyone, in the lounge AND on the TV, were talking and they were like "what's going on?"
And we're all talking about Twilight and then we point to the TV and say that THEY are discussing Twilight, and then my mum says "Oh I'm up to Eclipse!" And I'm like "What!?!?" and she tells me she borrowed number one from me and then went on and bought the other two. And then the friend says: "Oh yes I'm up to New Moon."
And then I swear, every single person on the TV and in my lounge were marvelling at the familiarity we all had with the books.
Uncanny!

Is everybody all of a sudden reading these books???

YouTube - Emily Osment - The View (02-18-08)
Here's the link to the interview, go to the end for the Twilight talk. So surreal.

Yeah same here, I haven't really hoed through no. 2 like I did no. 1 but it's all good.

YouTube - Twilight- by Stephenie Meyer (the score!)

I made a youtube musical score for Twilight! I'm very into making scores for books I've read, as if they were movies. And it sounds terrible because I don't have an actual orchestra, but I'm very nervous as to what people will say and if it actually suits the story.

Well the "trailer" is out, despite the fact they haven't finished filming yet. Anyway it looks good. I got chills when Edward saved Bella from the car, only because it's exactly how I saw it in my head. Quite freaky.

Am reading the 2nd book after dumping it for 2 months because of Bella being annoying suicidal (stupid girl) but I've picked it up again and am getting through it. Bella's sick atm. I like Jacob now that there's an actor playing him who I can envision. I didn't like the guy who played him in my head up until now (suicide brother from Gossip Girl).

I've heard awesome things about book 3. And I bought The Host last week, it's a little... bleh. Stephen King would tell her to get to the point, lol.

Oh good, thanks Allie for saying something about The Host.
Now I won't buy it, but I will pick up the other three starting with Twilight.

Sounds like it will put me in the right mood for when my ex visits me next month........sigh...........he's the only boy I ever loved.

Although some Twilight fans seem to be pissed about Robert Pattinson in the role of Edward, I think the trailer shows that the chemistry between him and Kristen Stewart is palpable. I'm looking forward to seeing this film.

He's all I imagined to be honest, since I read the book in January and RP had just been cast. I also think Kristen is perfect. Ah I think I've said all this before.

I'd never heard of this book before, or the series. But, 2 weeks ago I was getting my hair done by my friend, who also does hair for movies. Turns out she was one of the hair stylists for this movie and was telling me all about it. Next time I see my friend I'll try to get some on set gossip for you guys.

Anywho I'm off to bed to read some more of New Moon... because there's nothing on television yet again. Sigh.

Thank goodness, New Moon has improved. I glimpsed three pages ahead and read "it was Carlisle's car" and I was like "OMG!!"
I totally have the song "No Air" stuck in my head whenever I read this now. Sort of the perfect song for the book, don't you think? Edward gone, Bella distraught, Jacob there and his odd secret... even Bella almost drowning made me raise my eyebrows... No air... lol.

New Moon was my least favorite in the series. Twilight - minus that Phoenix saving the damsel in distress episode - was thoroughly engaging but my favorite book so far is Eclipse. These two need to fuck already (for the sake of the readers) and the author is clearly setting things up for that to occur in the fourth book.
