Default Was anyone in line at midnight for the new Harry Potter book.

Our local grocery was having a children's party paradise from midnight to 2 am.

I was! Got home at 2 am and I finished the book early afternoon. It was wonderful, but now I feel empty.

No way. I went grocery shopping yesterday afternoon and there plenty of copies in the book/magazine section of SuperValu. I guess Harry Potter doesn't have too many fans in my neck of the woods.

I went to a midnight release party dressed as Madam Rosmerta. There were people of all ages dressed up. One of the weirdest things I saw was a tiny baby wearing a black shirt that someone had painted "Snape is my real daddy" on in bright green.

I pre-ordered mine from amazon back in February. I got it in the mail yesterday, same day as it came out. Took me about a day to read, sleeping and taking breaks and all.

That's damn hilarious! I wanted to bring my three year old in a tshirt that said "Harry is my homeboy" but I didn't think she'd be able to stay awake.

I went with my nephews. We were there for 4 hours and for the midnight countdown. We had a total blast. They got to take their photo with a Harry lookalike, make some potions, get Harry glasses, listen to a guy dressed like Lupin read a few chapters from the book etc etc. We didn't have to wait a really long time for our books because we were there right when the doors opened. We ran home and read until about 5am.
