I have no idea why I bought this book today at the vintage shop! I guess cause it was only $3.00!

I have only just browsed a few chapters and her take on chickens I must admit has made me feel a little queasy.

What was so good about her in her heyday? I never took much notice! She seems to have vanished somewhere now though! I never hear of her.

OMG Voodoo!! You must have been reading my mind---I swear to god for some crazy freaking reason, I have been thinking of this chick and wondering what the hell ever happened to her!! Why? NO CLUE! Her name popped in my head and keeps popping back in....it's horrible.
Do you like the book??

Does anyone know where the hell she is and if she is still a lunatic and 'thin'?

Ohhh Lynnie this is x-file stuff!!

Well I read the chapter about chicken and felt ill at the way she was describing pus cancer bits etc. Then I read what she had to say about milk etc and that is as far as I have read to.

I will read more tomorrow. Seems like she done a fair bit of research.

ETA- I just googled her and nothing much came up. I too would be interested to know if she is still thin etc with a loud voice!!!!

Think she is making a come back. I saw a bit about her on tv when travelling.

She now has longer hair (dredlocks with pink). Couldn't find anything on google.

Meh. Another snake oil saleswoman. Don't think her "comeback" amounted to much as that article was about 18 months old.

I remember after she made it big in the 90's (she had a talkshow for awhile). She told everyone to eat pototoes, lol. Did she fall off her wagon? Or am I thinking of Brett Butler? Both loud blondes...I get confused.

I got that book for free somewhere, when I was bored enough I read it (the entire book). It was ridiculously stupid about how she thinks people should not eat any type of fat, she was obsessed with counting fat grams. It was weird, for example she would say something like how a one ounce piece of cheese has 10 grams and 7.5 cups of beans/lentils also has 10 grams of fat. She did not take into account any thing else like calories, fiber, etc. She was definitely a "snakeskin oil" woman and in it to make a quick buck.

She gave up bleaching her crew cut. She sold her decent home in Dallas. Moved to L.A. Divorced her hubby.Or maybe he divorced her.
Went bankrupt and this must be her 19th attempt at a comeback,give or take. Her credibility is low if not criminal. Suggest using book as toilet paper & sending idea to Sheryl Crow.
