Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants
Anyone like the books? I saw the movie and liked it, so I bought the book and have gotten into it- it's sort of enjoyable!

Did't the movie have "Ugly Betty" in it? I never saw it...

Yeah it did, her name is America Ferrara. She's actually a really pretty woman. I'm so irritated with Ugly Betty that they had to cast a pretty actress and then make her ugly. Didn't stop me from watching the show though, it's cute.

you'd think they'd cast an ugly girl so she'd make friends and become popular for being in a tv show.

I started reading the book, but couldn't really get into it. I like the quotes they have at the start of each chapter though. I went through and read all those.

I don't think they're magic, the story is set in reality. It's just that the jeans actually fits all four of them and given one of the girls is substantially large, it seems like a miracle. Well that's what I think, anyway.

I didn't like the books. I thought they were sort of hard to get into. But there are other teen series that are my guilty pleasures!! All of the Sweet Valley twins series (which have been discontinued :-( I am determined to buy them all on Ebay at some point) and Gossip Girl

I loved the Sweet valley books too! I read them years and years ago, but I wish I could find them again, they were wonderful! And the babysitters club series too.
