Re: VC Andrews
I was talking about Da Vinci Code at work (well specifically Dan Brown). There is a girl I work with intent on reading it, so I told her if she's going to, she must realize it isn't real-do not start questioning your faith because of his stupid book (I know people who have), and also never read another Dan Brown book again if you want to keep thinking the book is good. One of the customers heard me and got mad at me about how he's an amazing writer and he's so smart, and it's plausible and his other books are amazing too.
Ugh, people...

Re: VC Andrews
I have no interest in reading the DaVinci Code nor seeing the movie. My sister was shocked at me when I said I hadnt read it nor did I intend on reading it.
The only book from Oprah's "Book Club" that I found well worth the money spent on the book itself was "She's Come Undone" by Wally Lamb. Excellent reading and amazing writer.
NoDay I cant stand it when people do that. Everyone is entitled to their view so people just need to back off.

Re: VC Andrews
No the but the book itself is a complete hoax, all of the research and organizations he created were fake, some of them were based on mythical factofiction, but some things he presented were just completely false. It was written convincly though, but as NoDay say, if you liked DaVinci do not read any of his books. It's the same plot, just a different setting (even the characters are similar)

Hoo hoo! SUCH a guilty pleasure!! I embarrassingly enjoyed Flowers In The Attic and didn't mind Petals On The Wind ( the titles are so trash-tastic!!). I've not read any others though as I was afraid that over-exposure might make my brain leak outta my ears...

I haven't read VC Andrews since high school, or Jackie Collins, which were porn-fests!

LOL, I used to read V.C Andrews back in High School. I read all of the books in the 1st & 2nd series. I found them incredibly trashy and predictable. These are definitely trash for the brain and also very cliche.

Dan Brown's writing style is so dull and predictable, how this man became a world famous writer is a joke.
I couldnt even finish reading Angels and Demon, as I found it so similiar to Da Vinci just dealing with a different issue.
