Well, I really liked the first book and happily read the next 2. But I found them increasingly hard going with each book past that. I ended up giving up compltly with book 7 (I think). I also *hated* the fact that he dragged the series out and never finished the story

I gave up around book 7 or 8, I can't remember. It's like the soap opera of fantasy- the story never resolves or finishes, it just keeps going and going and going...
