Hi! I'm glad I post too much so you actually notice when I'm not around NYC was exhausting, it was just me and my mum and our roles have definitely reversed. My mother and the subway was...a new experience. But I got into it after getting used to the frantic rushing around, and I loveeeed the Upper East Side and Soho. I think we might be going back near Christmas time, so that'll be exciting! How have you been?

I'm good! Ha, i know what you mean about mom/daughter roles. I went to NYC with MY mom and it is totally a reverse dynamic. Isn't the pace something else? I felt so quaint standing on the corner waiting for the light to change so i could cross the street, lol. So very Canadian of me--everyone else just stepped off into the traffic and dared the cars to hit them, lol. I remember one night after we got back to the hotel my mom just laying on the bed begging not to go out (i had arranged a special surprise dinner for that night so i needed to get her to the restaurant). She looked so tired and pathetic but i had to drag her out. I think we walked about 20 km that day (no joke).

^ Exactly the same for me!! I was stood there, waiting for the man to light up so I could move, but I got so antsy because everyone else just walked - man or no man! My mum started doing it too and I was terrified for her life. I kept moaning about the road politics, I saw cars go through on every variation of walk/don't walk/'maybe walk'.
My mum wanted to walk all the way across Brooklyn Bridge then back again. Not happening. We got to the first arch and I just sat on the floor, all pre-menstrual and refusing to budge! We'd trekked around Wall Street and already been to Brooklyn that day, and just so happened Obama was at Wall Street the same day we went. Mad!!

Ha--that sounds like the day we had. We went on a walking tour from Times Square, all the way to hell and back--went through SOHO, Chinatown, Wall Street etc etc and ended up in Battery Park. Then we strolled over to the Brooklyn Bridge and halfway across that. I don't remember how we got back to the hotel, lol. And my mom was 75 at the time!

God, there is no way I could have done that and I'm only 21! I think the heat got to me at first, on the Monday I came home and had the worst headache. Living in England means anywhere above 20 degrees is too hot
Though I think I might be going back this Christmas/New Year time with my Dad, too. I think he was a bit miffed he didn't get to come this time! But that's possibly two parents to look after...

New York is my favorite place. I love the energy of the city.
It's funny how this thread has turned into another discussion completely.
Next summer I want to visit Vancouver, Washington State, Oregon and Colorado I have never been to the pacific Northwest and I hear its beautiful.

I would LOVE to go to Vancouver! I have family in Oregon so I really should use that as an excuse to go there too.
I think I might be going Florida and Boston next year. I've been Florida before, but I've wanted to go to Boston for years. I really hope everything works out!
If you ever need a tour of England, t13nif, I'm usually either in Manchester or London

I would love to go to England . It's at the top of my list of places to go (once my fear of flying over the ocean is tamed a bit). I have a great-uncle who lives by Gatwick, and my maternal grandpa was born and lived in Tring, Hertfordshire. Would love to see where my ancestors roamed . I totally think i am a Brit reincarnated.

Oooh Tring! When I travel from London to Manchester at Euston station I always see a train going to 'Tring' and wondered where it was. Such a cute name!
I think I've only started to appreciate England these past few years. But I think I'm an American reincarnated!

LOL! England has such history though. Canada is such a young country (especially Vancouver). Sigh.

Hi all, I'm new and I've been reading this thread for ages. But thought I'd pop in to add Teds latest about JJO and DDD.
Dear Ted:
So, switching to women, uh? Now good luck with that! You know what they say about all men being pervs and all women being nuts? So true. But anyway, I have a question: Is Judas Jack-Off more like Kellan Lutz (meaning a hunk from the very beginning) or more like babyface Taylor Lautner (meaning he hulked up later on)? C´mon, Teddy, I know you can answer that!
—Eu
Dear Twi Man Mix:
He's a nice combination of the two of those hunks heating up chilly Vancouver.
And then
Dear Ted:
Is Judas Jack-Off Matt Dallas?
—Farah
Dear Running Out of Guesses:
Nope—think of a dude much more obviously one half of a manly pair.
Both of these point to Jared and Jensen as they are filming Supernatural in Vancouver and their names are quite closely tied together in the public eye.
