So this is someone who has never been married so Sean Penn and Mel Gibson are out. Though, I would hardly call either of them much-loved no matter how much they screw up.

James Woods is who I immediately thought of for this. There was that other BI or gossip bit recently about him dating the 19-year-old daughter of his best friend. And he's sure got a debauched track record.

Edited to add: He's been nominated twice for an Oscar but I'm not sure if he's been in rehab. I wouldn't be at all surprised if he has, though.
