They did hook up after that. Tofu Tom wanted someone else cast at the beginning of the shoot but later they got along quite well and ended up living together. In fact, most of the people on the set thought they actually did the deed during filming of the elevated train sex scene.

actually he did have Hollywood by the balls...he was ultra-successful and if
he would have not thrown his "religion" in peoples faces he would most likely
still be on top instead of where he is now...desperately trying to look normal
by using his catatonic wife and the SURIgate baby.

The Risky Business scene is considered to be real (he was living with Rebecca at the time) but I doubt the Top Gun scene is since Kelly McGillis is gay.
