Who's the powerhouse producer? I'd say that's a key.
I hope this isn't Mos Def. I want to think his acting has made him too recognizable to fit this blind, because I love him and hate to think he'd stand by while women were being beaten. Same goes for Common, who seems like a closer fit.
I agree, though, that it's likely a more old school artist, since I don't think much of this recent batch's 'morals and values'.
