Janet was on Larry King Live last night. She is trying desperately to hawk this new album. It's pretty pathetic. She honestly couldn't have been more boring either. Had nothing of interest to say.

I saw this on MSNBC's the Scoop, and it mentioned Janet's appearance in a "first-ever photo issue" for Vibe magazine:

It could be Janet or Mariah, they've both had career failures- Mariah's last album was successful but she had to make a comeback before that. And I could definitely see Mariah saying things like "no breathing in my general direction" though, so my gut instinct was her. Although as someone mentioned the "stadium" clue could be in reference to the Superbowl.

Edit: I'm going with Janet, because of the "much is riding on her new project" line

(Not that i'm some know-it-all), but the moment i read this i KNEW it is about Janet Jackson. Without a doubt.

But it’s hard with these instructions: Don’t talk to her, don’t look at her, and … don’t even breathe in her direction.

Janet is notoriously quirky & eccentric, and known for acting bizarrely like this. AND i just read an interview with her in Parade Magazine, and the interviewer noted that, oddly, Janet was in a super-hot room, but was wearing a ridiculously large number of layers of clothing, including a warm jacket, because, Janet said, she was "afraid of catching a cold". Thus the "don't breathe in her direction" part of this Blind Item.

Girl has filled stadiums and she can’t have her photo taken with a room full of staff? Please.

Stadiums make me think of FOOTBALL STADIUMS. And Janet, of course, played the Superbowl in a football STADIUM, during her notorious (yeah, right) "wardrobe malfunction" episode.

And seriously…who is she anymore anyway?

Janet, i would definitely say, is considered "over-the-hill" in terms of her fame & relevancy.

Much is riding on her new project. ... She needs it more than they do. The way she’s acting though, she’ll be staring another failure straight in the face.

These clues sealed the deal for me. Janet's last 2 albums TANKED, BADLY. I have even read, specifically, that this new album of hers coming out HAS to do well, to save her career.--That she, just as the B.I. says, "NEEDS IT" to do well. And of course, the "another failure" comment refers to my above-mentioned fact that her last 2 albums were complete flops.

I didn't know that either, but then I suppose it's not that much of a stretch given that years ago she had one of her maids or someone get certain drugs prescribed for themselves so that she could use them.
