It's registered in the Netherlands. They'll be able to keep it up until the cows come home singing and dancing.

It doesn't look legitimate, but then the story's too damn good for me to care about legitimacy at this point.

Well that's a smart move.
Getting sites closed or sue anyone in The netherlands is pretty darn hard, if not impossible lol

I don't know how big the influence of Co$ is in the UK but I do work there several montsh a year and know of presure groups that have managed to force sites to close down, in the past. Don't know about the US.

I wouldn't underestimate their influence. All I know is they have an amazing building in London near the Thames, so they must do brilliantly there.

As for shutting that website down, I hope they don't. It's a juicy story.

There's really no need to go out of your way to avoid them. By and large they're not scary. Everyday I used to walk past quite a large org and I was stopped by different Scientologists all the time. They were okay, mostly just wanted you to come inside and do the personality test. Once you're inside, I expect you'd get the hard sell.

At the time there was a cult called the Church of Christ, some Evangelical group that originated in Boston that ran rings around anyone else in as far as accosting you on the street and being unrelenting, until you screamed at them to leave you the fuck alone. So yeah, I found the Scientologists very non scary in contrast to this group.

^^Yes they even made it to Sydney Australia. Many times I got asked along to Church by one of their members. This was in 1989. Then all of a sudden they stopped.

Thanks for the link Mogwai, the site doesn't quite look legit but who knows... I still totally believe this story . I looked on the Scientology website and I was really surprised that there are two centres in Scotland...I didn't think anyone up here would be crazy enough to get involved! Then again, the main one is in Edinburgh, so who knows...heh.

Now that I have a website, I'll have my colleague do a report on this.

She hosts a celebrity gossip show and it would be legitimate to file this under "rumor and hearsay" or something like that. Needless to say, she went crazy over this blind.
