If you’ve been reading this column awhile, and if you’ve been paying close attention to the riddles, a grizzly one in particular, you should not be surprised. Still…it is shocking.

And it is sad smut.
UPDATE: yes. I'm talking about Heath Ledger. And yes, there is a clue in there about a riddle. Go to archives if you're curious and search.

I can't believe Jason Lee went running his mouth to the press about that. I definitely don't condone drug use in any way, but that was kind of a butthead move, IMO. It's not like he was telling someone to get help for Heath. He was telling people about it to get press for himself.

Eh..he posted it on Kevin Smith's viewaskew boards...which granted, aren't private, but then the blogs picked up on it. It's not like he said it in an interview.

Yep, Jason Lee the actor. He's been in several Kevin Smith movies, so I assume that's why he was on his board. It doesn't look like he posts there regularly (66 total posts since 2004) but all the "famous" posters' nics are in red so I'm guessing it was really him.

I cant believe he'd write that about Heath on a message board. Obviously didn't care to keep it a secret.

But it just goes to show that Heath was on drugs.

I looked at the thread...a poster asked him what he thought about the movie Lords of Dogtown (since Jason used to be a pro skateboarder) then someone mentioned Heath's role in the movie..then Jason told his story about meeting him at a party. It was pretty much a random comment and I doubt he expected the story to be picked up and published.
