I don't know if I'm buying the whole Jessica Simpson guess. But to add to the intrigue, does anyone remember the blind item about a female starlet whose weight gain was blamed on her 'scoundrel' exboyfriend forcing her to have an abortion?

I'm pretty sure many thought it was Jessica and John Mayer, because she did have extra weight gain around that time.

And say the blind item is connected, as for not knowing who the father was, didn't she have a fling with Dane Cook during the breakdown/or after her relationship with John?

Ooh the Courtney Love idea is a good one! Depending on how far back this one goes she slept with Ed Norton who dated Salma Hayeck who's engaged to her baby daddy, and you KNOW that these aren't the only people these people have been with. Now this would be scandalous. I hope it's not true.

Me too...still haven't gotten over my 15 year old 'she's so crazy and cool' thing. But still totally understand that she's nuts. If that makes sense?!

It's totally someone that would shock the shit out of everyone. I now think Jessica Simpson is a great guess (I feel horrid); I now place a $10 bet on it being her, $5 on Britney, $2.50 on whoever else I can think of and I take back my bet on Whitney Houston.

In going with the Jessica Simpson theory, she was "rumored" to have slept with Johnny Knoxville and Bam Margera during her marriage to Nick Lachey. She also was rumored to have been with Maroon 5's Adam Levine sometime in there too. All of those men are known for being skeevy and sleeping with anything in sight so she could have got it from any one of them. And, she did gain about 15-20 pounds when she was with John Mayer, adding to the theory that she might have been pregnant and had an abortion. I just don't think she's as innocent as she plays.
