With the substance abuse coming out lately (it was no surprise) it could be Hoff and his wife. It's weird reading about people whom you remember got married all those years ago at the height of fame (she was on some soap, no?)

i still say james caan is the best fit. it really couldn't be anyone who has ahoolywood wife like baldwin or stamos cuz you can't really hide busy gals like them for too long. besides when you look at all the tv shows, there aren't too many a list actors who are divorced. i know someone said spader but i remember him thanking his wife and his gf at the emmys. so i think they are those weird hollywood people. sinise and lapaglia are married. sutherland is the only other choice but they were seperated for years before divorcing. he was dating all that time. Cann all the way

I like James Caan as an answer to this one. Most definitely an A-List actor back in the day and a small screen star at present.
