I think that one of the things is that we have both Brits & Americans on here & how we use the *English* (*look hard at Laxmonster*) language is different. Where I'm from "shacking up" is to live with, obviously it's something else in the US

I live in the US and shacking up means living together but not married.

I do not believe that Trista and Ryan Sutter were dating before the show. They lived in very different cities. He was a full time fire fighter and the guys at his station would have know he was dating her.
