i hate to say this but my first thought was RDJ![]()
I like the RDJ guess. His first wife divorced him because of his drug use. The car Chase could be the scene in Iron Man 2 where he was in Monaco racing.

I think it's RDj, he's known for his drug use. JT is not known for that.
Did RDJ ever get fat? I don't recall that. If not it ain't him. That is a large (lol) clue.
JT is such a cheery guy. He fits better than RDJ to me, but still, that part doesn't work. The gloomy demeanor sounds more like, say, Gene Hackman. Now that is a dour actor. Not saying he fits this but descriptively, he's a good example of the gloomy persona Enty described.
Who else is/was a gloomy fat bastard? Hm. Val Kilmer? LOL. I don't think he's A though.

Agree with you - I just can't see JT as a serious depressive. He seems chronically optimistic rather than pessimistic, and bearing in mind all the knockbacks he seems to have experienced from masseurs (cough, cough), he manages to stay relentlessly cheerful rather than wrist-slittingly wretched.
But talking of wrist-slitting, what's with the 'commotion' that led to his being found? I would have thought that it's a pretty silent procedure, usually done in the bath, with the only 'commotion' being the sound of a call to the emergency services if you've changed your mind. (Of course, I have no experience in this matter, so I'm happy to be corrected if I'm way off base.) All I'm trying to say is that this is CDAN and my BS detector is twitching.

I don't think of RDJ as being the dour and gloomy type, either, though. He's had has issues but in terms of his public persona he seems to enjoy himself on the red carpet, mugs for the camera and does his promotional stuff with a smile on his face. I don't think he's ever been heavy either, as Kathie said.

It didn't say heavy, it said "huge" maybe they were talking in terms of his career, not his weight?
RDJ was my first thought too, yes he seems like he's ok now and not dour or gloomy in public but it says "he is a great actor and knows when to act the part, but at home his demons come out" so who knows what he's like in private.
I mean, I hope it's not him because he's the great comeback kid and all but most of it fits. I think the blind is saying that although everyone thinks he's gotten over his issues...he hasn't.

I was wondering that, too... it's awkwardly written, but it seems like the point of it is that he was so big and that's why the drugs didn't kill him?
Who knows with Enty...... tried the drugs route again. Again it didn't work. he didn't take enough. He was huge at this point and it made him very sick, but not dead.

Harrison Ford? He's not exactly chipper. And his wife left him right? Or did he leave her?
The first thought though was RDJ. Travolta is a very interesting guess.Depression:
What many of his fans do not realize is that the future Indiana Jones was far from the tough guy as a child. He was shy and often beaten up by his peers. Taking a stance of non-violence he refused to fight back, instead keeping the anger inside himself for years. During college he did not fit in, finding the school too conservative for his tastes. He began exhibiting typical signs of depression, such sleeping long hours, missing classes and struggling to keep up with his studies. He later said of his time at college, "The kindest word to describe my performance was Sloth". Due to his failing a philosophy class during his senior year, he was expelled from school. Notoriously private about his life, Ford has not personally characterized this period of his life as one of depression, but has confessed to being painfully shy until his junior year of college, when he signed up for a drama class and overcame his fears.
RDJ makes more sense than JT now I think about it. Maybe the "huge" comment is more about bulking up for Iron Man?

John Travolta was the first person who came to mind when I read this. However I don't recall he and Preston splitting.
Russel Crowe? He had put on a bit of weight a while age.
I don't think it's Rusty, he hasn't really had to make a comeback and I don't think his anger problems are the demons they're talking about in this BI.
