#6 could be Jennifer Jones. Her first big role was The Song of Bernadette which won her an Oscar, and she went on to divorce her husband and marry David O Selznick who produced the movie.

She was fucking Peter Bogdanovich who was the director of the film, not a studio head.

Something is pinging my memory here. It's right on the tip of my tongue but I can't for the life of me remember which star it was that got discovered in a dept. store.

No way Demi for 2. She did TV before movies. And famous movies way before Bruce. She got lucky enough to to be a part of that whole "Brat Pack" group of the 80's. And seriously doubt she was hooking on the side whilst learning her lines for the daily grind at General Hospital.
I guess I'm showing my age a bit with knowledge of anything 'Demi' pre-Bruce or Ashton..
