I think #4 could be Sum41
#3 I think 30 seconds to Mars to too obvious. What about Motely Crue (Mick Mars) and Vince Neil is know to be an a-hole and they are touring

I'm still thinking it's The Mars Volta for #3. They just played a show in Denver a couple of months ago.
Anyone know anything about them, reputation-wise?

2. Chris Cornell from Soundgarden and Temple of the Dog. Also a solo artist. Or Scott Wieland- but everyone knows he's a druggy.
3. Jared Leto
4.

I saw The Mars Volta in concert and they put on a fantastic show. They take their music pretty seriously and had some amazing musicians backing them up. They come across as a very professional, hardworking, earnest band.

^^ Ah, okay thanks Memebot. So likely not them, then.
What other "Mars" bands are there? Anyone else remember M|A|R|R|S? Haha, wonder what they're up these days. I also like Cmmdee's Maroon 5 guess.

1. definitely dave matthews: heck, i even heard of the "accident"
2. chris cornell sounds like a very good guess.
3. no way it's 30 seconds to mars, their last denver show was last year and there was no throwing the drum set into the crowd or any onstage tantrum. don't know enough about the mars volta though.
4. i also go with fall out boy, i believe i've heard more than once ashley being called the yoko ono of fall out boy
edit: found it, 3. must really be the mars volta. what i found wasn't in denver but he seemed to have pulled almost the same thing in seattle VIDEO: Mars Volta interview at Sasquatch! and controversial crowd endangering performance (including a video from the singer going crazy)

^^Good sleuthing on #3, Purple Haze! I'm changing my guess back to The Mars Volta.

I'm pretty sure I remember At The Drive In spitting the dummy at one of their Oz shows a few years back. I think it was because of the shit sound quality or something, they chucked a wobbly and stopped the show after a couple of songs and I'm pretty sure equipment was thrown at the crowd, anyway the two main guys went on to become the Mars Volta so it's not like this is the first time it's happened.
Having said that, I loved At The Drive In and fucking love the Mars Volta, and every time I've seen them they were completely awesome. The first time I saw Mars Volta they played the whole of De-Loused in reverse track order. It was so intense it did my head in [/end psychedelic-prog wankfest]
Oh, and Chris Cornell definitely.

^^ Iiiiinteresting! You guys have me pretty much convinced too.
They ARE pretty intense dudes....
I'd still go see them again. I'll make sure not to get floor tickets next time, just in case.

"come across" would be the key word here. All the crew members I've met (in the dozens) have absolutely detested them and their shitty behavior.

^^^This is great having you here to contribute, WUD . I'm glad you decided to join.
Now I just wish we could get Ted Casablanca and Lainey and all the others on here, too. Actually, maybe not Ted since we probably wouldn't have a clue what he was saying, at least if he wrote his posts in the same way as his blinds
Edited to add: Hey, I just realized that I think that means I solved my first blind! Wow, that only took about 10 years of hanging around on gossip newsgroups and boards. Sheesh.

That was my first thought too, arsehole lead singer and the Mars clue. But I think Cruefest is somewhere in the south at the moment, and I haven't heard any goss on the Crue boards to indicate things have got the wobbles (yet!)
I would love it to be that plonker Leto though. It'd just make my day!
