American Dad is just Family Guy poo in the toilet; it's very annoying to me.

I think I'm the only person I know who doesn't think "Family Guy" is funny.

I'm in that club too. I really don't get that show's appeal.

I thought I was the only one who thought that show was crap as well until I read Ken Tucker's Entertainment Weekly review a while back:
Quote:
Nevertheless, MacFarlane and company are guilty of aesthetic laziness: Both Family Guy and American Dad! are larded with cheap, mean humor that panders to audiences, letting them off the hook by implying that this is a parody of cheap, mean humor.
Take, for example, last year's DVD-only release Family Guy Presents Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story, with its ''Jew Man Group'': Hasidic Jews performing with their faces painted blue. Or when the talking baby, Stewie, selling lemonade, yells at a pregnant woman passing him by, ''Hey, preg-o! I'm talking to you, tubby!'' Or, in a fantasy sequence, when Ella Fitzgerald sings a high note that shatters a glass and the shards fly into the eyes of her heretofore-sighted pianist, Ray Charles, blinding him. (Ooh, a Memorex spoof — how cutting-edge!) I should mention that Untold Story also features Stewie snapping the neck of an Entertainment Weekly writer, a victim MacFarlane has implied in interviews is yours truly. And that was the one gag I had high hopes would be really funny — instead, it's just typically awkward, and meaningless unless you know that I gave Family Guy a bad review when it premiered.

I know this one! It has to be Chuck Lorre. He is currently writing and executive-producing both Two and Half Men and The Big Bang Theory.
His other credits include: Dharma and Greg, Cybil, Grace Under Fire and Roseanne. He's been in the business a while and he's considered difficult in the business. I can completely see him making others do work while he takes credit for it.

I think MacFarlane is a good guess and someone pointed out that he has copied alot of The Simpsons gags and put them in Family Guy.

Family Guy is basically just a blatant rip off of The Simpsons but the characters are actually flesh colored instead of yellow. I've never thought that show was as brilliant or creative as it's chalked up to be.

But American Dad isn't really considered a "hit" TV show. In fact, it's a now cancelled TV show. Family Guy is the big hit.
I'm still sticking with Chuck Lorre because he has a difficult reputation whereas Seth MacFarlane does not.

(Raises hand) I'm with the group that doesn't like Family Guy.
Looks like you're not alone at all, gossip_moll.

The problem with this guess is that he has created and produced more than two hit television shows. And if the blind is referring to his current shows only, would The Big Bang Theory be considered a hit?

From Wikipedia:
While the show has succeeded in being renewed, it has not matched Family Guy in ratings success. On a typical Sunday, American Dad! has slightly more than half the viewers and share of the Simpsons and Family Guy episodes that follow it on Fox. Its ratings are typically similar to the King of the Hill episode that precedes it. [1][2] For the week ending April 6th, 2008, American Dad was the Fox's least viewed primetime program. [3] However it does much better in the ratings following Family Guy than King of the Hill as it did during this time. Fox has ordered more episodes of all four comedy cartoon programs for the 2008 summer season.
