Entertainment Lawyer 5/07/08
This C list primarily television actress should probably be B list. Very attractive. Most of you would know who she is, and even the shows she has been on, but she is probably not a household name. She has been on one huge hit and one of a more modest nature. Our actress and her attorneys have been in discussions with a drug manufacturer trying to reach a settlement. The reason for the settlement is that she lost her job when she tried to commit suicide. Seems that an attempted suicide kinds of freaks producers out. Who knew? Anyway she and her attorneys believe it was due to a specific drug she was taking and have threatened a lawsuit. The drug company wants to keep it quiet because the story would be all over the media and at the same time our actress is trying to keep it quiet so someone will hire her and not always refer to as the actress who attempted suicide.

I immediately thought of Shannon Doherty. 90210 and Charmed would be the shows. Of course she would have some pre-existing batshit craziness.

I thought of Courtney Thorne Smith, but she is on According to Jim. This sounds like someone who isn't doing anything at the moment.
Hmmm.

Heather Locklear is better than C list in my mind anyway.
I have no clue.

I'm going with Samaire Armstrong... was on Dirty Sexy Money and briefly on Entourage and the OC. Plus she was in and out of rehab twice...

I like the Heather Locklear guess, and and anti-anxiety or antidepressant drug with or without booze as the suicide inducers.
A kid I worked with went psycho on Zyban, turns out you're not supposed to take it if you have a history of depression. Lesson learned: if smoking doesn't kill you, quitting will.

At first I thought it was Mariska Hargitay, but I don't think she ever left a show.

I quite like the Samaire Armstrong guess. There's been a few rumours about her having problems. But here's another name I'll throw out there: Jorja Fox who's best known for being in CSI, although she was also in ER. Anyone know why she left CSI?

I think there were rumours that she wanted too much money for a new contract. And she came late often and sometimes didn't show up. But I think these rumours are too old. I don't know, the offical statement is she always wanted to do other things in her live than just to appear in CSI. That's what I read.

I like Heather, and I think she's better than C list... but remember her shrink/doctor calling 911 about her recently. Wasn't that based on the doctor being concerned she was trying to kill herself?

^True, she is the first person I thought of but she was on Dynasty, T.J. Hooker, resurrected Melrose Place & Spin City. I don't think it's her.
This is someone with a 1 mega hit show and one okay show and is looking for work..
As for Shannen was Charmed a modest success?
Alyson Hanigan was in Buffy & HIMYM and is still working.
Charisma Carpenter was also in Buffy & Angel.

That's what I thought of immediately when I read this BI. This screams Heather Locklear. It was just about a month ago when the whole 911 called to her house because her doctor called them after she called him saying she was going to kill herself sitution. That story was almost immediately extinguished in the media after it came out, which seemed odd. That's a pretty big story for nobody to follow up with, right? And, yes she's been on many shows of moderate sucess but Melrose Place will always be her big hit. She's never had one of that caliber before or since, not even Spin City.
